Is that my THUMB or am I just happy to see y'all?

Awesome.

So awesome, you guys. Saturday night I was trying to take care of Stephen, who's been sick with a nasty cold. I was in the midst of making a lovely beef with wine and mushroom recipe--chopping onions--and proceeded to chop off the tip of my left thumb. Yeah. NAST. The piece of thumb was ON THE CUTTING BOARD.

I guess I don't have to come right out and tell y'all that the bandaging of my thumb looks like a peen...but there you have it.

                         Icon Grill

I have been given the amazing opportunity tonight to be an online food critic,  if you will, for a fantastic restaurant in Seattle, Icon Grill (www.icongrill.com). I'm not sure how much regular blogging today because of all the preparation I have to do for this event. I can't even do my own hair, so off I go to see James at Sugardaddy's Salon (www.sugardaddyssalon.com) who is being kind enough to help a sister out. (Oh, I'm sure I'll get my fair share of verbal abuse while I'm there, but it's worth the shame--believe me.)

I will indeed have pictures of my whole day, I've decided. I'll also be seeing the gorgeous ladies at the Dina S. Good Salon (www.dinasgood.com/) in Seattle to get my eyelash extensions touched up. Sweet!! I LOVE my extensions.

In summary, I don't have any stitches on my thumb because there was nothing left to stitch--and the tip of my thumb went down the garbage disposal. Oh, and it hurts like a mofo.

Gross enough for everyone??

I'm the QUEEN of Procrastination...Bear with me?

Ohdearlord. I've mentioned to y'all that we're doing new and wonderful things here on Dipped in Cream. The problem is, it's been one thing after another, so I've been a bit slow off the mark.

Angelina, our chubby whippet (she hates when I say that) cut her wrist (A-BLOODY-GAIN--don't ask. This time a razor wasn't involved at least. Just know that she, Lohan and her namesake have something in common **COUGHcuttersCOUGH** and she needed surgery. She's fine now; I swear to God the next time she does it, off to Casa Palmera she goes.)

I also realize that most bloggers with small children can manage their blog while taking care of said small children. I cannot. I'm too old or something. So when my grandson Felix is here, all bets are off on trying to move forward with the plans for turning this little blog of mine to go BIGTIME!

So. This weekend, I have to learn Word-effing-Press--that's its true name, by the way. At least in this house. I cannot follow instructions to save my soul, so a big, fat GOOD LUCK is in order.

I have bought the domain Dippedincream.com -- so I will no longer be dippedincream.blogspot.com. Now. This blog isn't going anywhere...but eventually (sooner than later, please Lord?) we will be completely on the new site. Better graphics, advertising (hey, a gurrl needa get paid, mmkay?) and purrdier, too!

Bottom line, I won't be blogging as much this weekend, because I'm tryna be all book-smart and stuff.

MUAH! I love all of you for helping me get here!

xoxo ~j

Please Lord. Let me put up something more interesting than Khloe Kardashian's wedding today.

"..and then???"

For crying out loud. I'm stuck today. I'm really, truly stuck

Obviously, I must love celebrity gossip enough to write about it (and usually make fun of), but yeeeesh. This whole fakey filmed/no pre-nup wedding has really gotten to me. Who ARE these people? Why does anyone even care about them? (Besides Ryan Seacrest, who's making piles of money producing their reality shows on E!...)  They certainly know what they're doing, those Kardashians. No need for more sex tapes anymore, huh, girls?

NINE MORE MONTHS

Autumn is sneaking into the Northwest today, and will hit like a sledgehammer tomorrow. Summer completely flew by, as it always does in Seattle. Prepare yourself for plenty of moaning about "this goddamned rain" from me...it's already stuck in my throat. We won't have any decent weather for 9 months. NINE. MONTHS.

Last year, my darling husband Stephen bought me one of those S.A.D. lights. James the boxer chewed the chord to pieces. I don't know if it did me any good, honestly. A fellow-blogger in Seattle, Spicypants, of CelebritySmackblog.com says that she goes tanning to avoid depression. I do feel better when I go to the tanning salon, with its smell of sweat and coconut. I think not being suicidal wins over the fear of skin cancer. Now there's a choice I can stand behind. Dork.

The big news of the day? He's walking. Felix. Is. Walking. I'm following this little drunkard around, talking like a goon ("...and then? And then?? I don't know why I always ask him that question.) We play "Hey Baby'"--the game, not the song. It's basically Hide and Seek, but he thinks it's pretty darn hilarious.

At the risk of sounding like one of those goony Mom blogs, I'll just say this: I'll take Felix and his silliness over a Kardashian story any day.  I hope you will, too.

Marilyn Manson changes words of "Stinky Britches" to "Dirty Fishnets"

Isani Griffith and "boyfriend" Marilyn Manson

Listen here. If I'm gonna dry-heave my way through this crap, so the hell aer you. Just what the goddamnHELL is MM up to now?

"Oh, ya know what would be hot, Isani? If I wore your dirty fishnets on my face all night...and then everyone would know what we were up to." What a GD dork. HOW old is he now?? Old enough to know that this kind of crap is BDSM 101, first effing homework assignment of the semester.

I think this fey little bottom needs a good, hard kick in the...ohnevermind. He'd pay me for it.

Oh dear. Did I reveal too much?
