Snippy, the newborn giraffe is totally judging you.

"Are you seriously wearing that?"

I'm dying. Wait...I have to say it like Rachel Zoe. I. DIEEE. (I got a tremendous pair of sunglasses from her fashion line for Christmas from my mom and I love 'em.)

This baby giraffe was born giving the head tilt, pursed lips and side-eye, with what appear to be eyelash extensions. (Patrick thinks he's queer, of course.) I just think it's hilarious that you can totally read his expression...first of all, he was born in Vallejo, California at the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. I think this tiny baby realizes that Santa Barbara is just a couple hours north and wishes someone--anyone would get him up there where he belongs.

I don't blame him. (And I've seen that look in the mirror a few times myself. Hmmmph.)

Rihanna semi-nude in January 2010 GQ - Wow. A little bit NSFW.

Okay, then.

 Ummm....wow.

Photos by: Michael Thompson for GQ

Rihanna! We get it! You're hot, and now you're feeling like "strong and in charge"!  I appreciated your interview with Diane Sawyer with you looking a bit more lady-like and talking shit about that douche who beat you up.

Oh, whatever. These photographs are indeed sexy. In the interview (if anyone actually bothers to READ it) there are many references to The Whole Chris Brown Thing as well as her very provacative lyrics on the new cd Rated R. There is a mention of girls with guns and a girl (Rihanna, obviously) enjoying having her hair pulled during sex.

Okay then.

Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People 2009 - Who made who blush on the "10 Most Fascinating People"?

Did everyone watch Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People? I always forget that Barbara lightweight-chats with these ten folks last for about 2 minutes each. Remember the days when we would've thought that was sufficient? Not so much anymore, Barbara. Narrow it down to 5 people next year?

Lady Gaga with The Barbara

And finally...the Most Fascinating Person of the Year (the Gospel According to Barbara, in other words...) is

...our First Lady Michelle Obama.  I agree. She's elegant, smart, funny and I love her.

Victoria Beckham's poor little feet! Bunion surgery!! OUCH.

Victoria's son Romeo is even giving
her the side-eye about those shoes.

Oh, Posh. Now I understand why you didn't call me last weekend when you were in Seattle for a day of shopping! Your little toes were hurting! You're forgiven, Love.

HolyLord, those shoes look dangerous.
FAB!!

via keepingyouinstiches:
The singer-turned-designer has told friends that her bunions are now so bad she is seriously considering having an operation to remove them.

The scale of Victoria’s painful bunion problem was laid bare recently when she was snapped in a pair of spiked Mulberry sandals. Now a friend of the former Spice Girl tells me: ‘Victoria has had enough of having bad feet and has made some early-stage enquiries about having her rather unpleasant bunions removed.

Am I the only one who thinks a French Pedi is creepy?

Listen. My girls out there (Cyndy, Holly, Cynthia, PATRICK!) have known me long enough to know it's still shocking to see me wearing ballet flats, but I do. I used to wear 4" stilettos to the grocery store, forpitysake. No. MORE. I gave away almost all of my high heels--most of them now belong to Dayna (see yesterday's Who Wore it Best -- those were mine.)

Even on my wedding day.
 OW.

I denied til I was blue that my severe back problems had anything to do with wearing super-high heels for over 35 years. I still think the shoes were only part of the problem, but they sure didn't help. (See? Still in denial.) Of course, after I had surgery to repair my tailbone in 2006, I immediately went back to heels, but as of 2008, I wear them maybe 5-6 times a year. Why, I'll even to shopping in downtown Seattle in my flats. I know, right? Crazy!

I suspect we won't be seeing Victoria much in photos as she recovers from surgery. I know how she feels about her YSL 5" stilettos all too well. (Rumor has it she's not in favor of Louboutin's as much as she has been in the past, due to JLo's ghetto-ing up of the brand in her new song of the same name. I agree.)

Posh confessed:
“I just can’t concentrate in flats,” she told the U.K.’s GMTV on Thursday.

“I’d love to go to the gym,” she told the morning chat fest, “but I can’t get my head around the footwear.”

There is, however, an exception to her strict no-flats policy.

“When I’m at home with [husband David Beckham] and the kids, I’m always in a pair of flip flops,” she admitted. “He likes me without any makeup on – just looking really natural.”

Victoria, I'll love you just as much without your stilettos.

Lady Gaga on Leno Monday Night..."Bad Romance" - TREMENDOUS

When I heard that Lady Gaga would be on Jay Leno tonight, my first response was, "Oh. But is Leno on Leno tonight? Ugh.". I'm glad Stephen and I suffered though (parts) of StupidJayLeno to get to The Gaga.

I'm coming right out with it again, but with FEELING. I love her. I get her vision of performance art and music. (I still don't care for her first single, Let's Dance), but all the rest? Great. And I ADORE Bad Romance.

I have to apologize again for being so late in hopping on the Lady Gaga bandwagon. I tried to resist...to no avail.

I have succumed to The Gaga...there's no turning back.

How do we feel about Beyonce`'s cover of Anita Baker's "Sweet Love"?

Here I go showin' my age again. Why, back in MY day, Anita Baker sang this song with a sweet, slow groove. Now we have Big Bey shouting and diva-ing it up, and I just don't know how I feel about it.

Bey performed this cover at her concert in Edmonton last night. I was distracted by the fan blowing her hair and those HIPS.

Daayum, girl.

Beyonce and Lady Gaga "Video Phone" Premiere Next Week!

Pretty. GD. FIERCE.

Yep. Since I'm Old Biddy Come Lately with regard to Lady Gaga, I'm pretty goddamned excited about seeing Video Phone, the long(?) awaited collaboration with Beyonce`.

The video will premiere this Tuesday, November 17th on all MTV International and VH1.com sites. (Does that include the U.S., because I'll be shocked if I see an effing video on any MUSIC VIDEO channel up in here!)

Halloween 2009 - OhgoodLord, I'm tired.

"Lucy" (me) and "Dra-coooool" (Stephen)

 Friends, Julie and David

A dude who totally wasn't dressed up,
but looked like George Harrison anyway!

 Our darling (schoolgirl) cocktail server

;Our friend, Cheryl, the Mermaid

Lucy is going to "turn" poor Ralphie
from "A Christmast Story" (James!)

 The Leg Lamp, Tim

 Friends, Cheryl and Tish

"A plasma on the rocks, please."

Dracoool, Lucy and Dracula

Oh, what a time we had on Halloween this year. As I mentioned, I kept torturing Stephen by not making a decision as to whether or not I wanted to DO anything this year...

Oh, we DID it all right. We hooked up with our Sugardaddy's , Tim and James and Julie and David and our new friends Cheryl and Tish. (Everyone sorta becomes your friend on nights like Halloween, but these were the Real Deals.)

Just as a quick reminder of Lucy and her evil from Francis Ford Coppola's classic, here's a clip:

Since I'm having issues with my blog and computer, I'm going to hurry and post this.

And I'm still waiting for YOUR Halloween pictures, my loveys.

Today's Blind Item - Forget Your Troubles C'mon Get Happy Edition

"This pop diva has caught the acting bug. While she has barely any acting experience, she's been begging the producers of this highly anticipated biopic for a role. No, she doesn't want to play the star. She wants to play her famous offspring. She has already made several phone calls to the producers, and has impressed them with her dead-on impressions.

She's also been promising to "ugly down" and use her real name in the film's credits. In short, she's willing to do almost anything for a piece of the fame once enjoyed by the characters of the film."

via [Blind Gossip]

Oooooh. I like this one. I think I know exactly who this FAME-ous Diva is--I recently posted a photo of the FAME-ous offspring she wants to portray. I think it would be tremendous. The paparazzi would go NUTS.

I've given you so many clues, I'm making myself sick!

Oh, and while we're on the subject of cd covers - Adam Lambert Strikes the Gay Icon Pose!

Adam's new cd -
For Your Entertainment

Y'all know I LOVE me some Glambert...but the cover shot reminded me of a few other Divas.

                        Barbra

                                                   Madonna

Liza

Diana

I think it's tremendous that Miss Adam is in the company of these fabulous Divas, because Lord knows--he's one, too!! All we need now  is for Adam to add an A to the end of his name, and we're set.

I cannot wait for his cd...how 'bout y'all??

Do Not Attempt to Hug The Angelina!!

"I said, BACK THE EFF UP!"

Apparently Angelina Jolie doesn't enjoy, nor does she look forward to, HUGS. This crazy story is all over The Internets today. You know what? I don't enjoy hugs from people I barely know, either.

I'm sure The Gorgeous One adores hugs from her kids and Brad. She has no reason to feel obligated to hug perfect strangers (unless it's BALKI, because he rocks right now), if she doesn't want to.

Honestly, with the new H1N1 Plague going around, I want to wrap myself in plastic...but not in a Laura Palmer/Twin Peaks kinda way.

Mad Men's Christina Hendricks Married Over the Weekend: "Do you take these Boobies..."

 Ummmm. Wow.

Christina Hendricks with
new husband, Geoffrey Arend

The lovely, voluptuous redheaded "Joan" from Mad Men was married to Tim Burton her fiance, Geoffrey Arend over the weeked at a small ceremony in New York.

Christina wore a tremendous wedding dress my Caroline Herrera. I'll bet one of the "cups" in that strapless dress would fit ON MY HEAD to make a lovely hat, know'msayin'?

Just sayin'. Oh, and congrats to the happy couple!!

You Got the Look--or the Bitchy Side-Eye?

Oh. Gurrrl.

I have a total sadface because, for the life of me, I cannot get my eyeliner to look nearly as fierce as Prince's. Now, I realize he's been wearing it longer than I have, but still. Do you think he would give me a tip or two? Ohhh...can you imagine? Prince doing my eyeliner, and talking me through it like the chicks at the MAC counter.

Here's Mr. Fierce Eyeliner Bitchface himself at the Grand Palais Sunday night killing it with that side eye of his. Holy shit. LOOK at that face!

FLAWLESS, Bitches...flawless.

Shirley Manson Stars in Oliver People's 2010 Ad Campaign

...and I'm loving it. Shirley Manson (from the band Garbage, and the TV series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).

Shirley with actor Elijah Wood

I. Love. Shirley. Manson. It's about GD time someone used her in an ad campaign.

Oh, by the way. Shirley is 43 years old. Daaaayum.

Prince! What the goddamnhell are you wearing at Paris Fashion Week?

"Don't go for second best, baby..."--
Oh, wait.

Doesn't Prince totally look like he's doing a street performance of Madonna's "Express Yourself" in Paris yesterday? Yeah. Here he is headed to a Fendi party or something. Pssh.

WHAT the goddamnhell is Prince Rogers Nelson wearing? The neckpiece looks like it was left over from a Real Housewives reunion show (you pick which one--I can't make a valid decision--Orange County maybe?) The rest of his get-up is obviously from Kohl's Half-Price Itty Bitty Lingerie Department.

Oh, Prince.

The Build-up to the Big Taste and Tweet at Icon Grill...

"Valley of the Dolls", y'all.

Before at Dina S. Good Salon

AFTER! Thank you, April!

OhgoodLord. I trotted around yesterday more than I have in ages. (Not counting chasing my MeatPie grandson around!) I needed to get me "some pretty" for my big "Taste and Tweet" at Icon Grill later in the evening.

James (and his assistant, Dante`--or Durwood, as James calls him) gave me some fierce hair yesterday. After all of the boys had a good, hard laugh (ahem) at my "peen thumb" they got down to business by making my head at least, live up to my screen name--DIVA. Oh, Sugardaddy's Salon, and I love my Boys!

Afterward, I drove like a nut into the city for April to work her magic on my eyelashes. I leave the Dina S. Good Salon feeling so pretty every. Single. TIME. I cannot recommend her eyelash extensions enough. Worth every penny.

While we're on the subject of "worth every penny", y'all should know this: I do not get, nor do I expect free services from these hardworking artists. In this ecomony, it's important to keep these kinds of businesses IN business. I appreciate the lovely people who keep me looking good. So, given the fact that I am in no way compensated for my glowing reviews--rest assured that my opinions of these fabulous salons are from the heart...not the pocketbook.

David Bowie to release live 2-cd set January 26, 2010

"Cactus" by David Bowie

Sitting here wishing on a cement floor
Just wishing that I had just something you wore
So bloody your hands on a cactus tree
Wipe it on your dress and send it to me

Yeah, I know. It's ghoulish. But there's something about those lyrics (written by Black Francis of the Pixies) that I find, well...romantic. I've been on a bit of a David Bowie bender of late. Watching The Hunger and his Storytellers on VH1 has brought back some great memories of seeing Mr. Bowie twice in concert.

I tell ya what...at 60 years of age, I still find him incredibly attractive. The way he moves, sounds and looks...come ON.  I think maybe he really is a vampire. (I wish!)

via ONTD, Bowie's "A Reality Tour" was

"Recorded in Dublin, live versions span his entire career to-date, from "The Man Who Sold the World" (1971), "Changes" (1972), "Ziggy Stardust" (1972), "All the Young Dudes" (1972), "Rebel Rebel" (1974), "Fame" (1975)," "Heroes" (1977), "Ashes To Ashes" (1980), "Under Pressure" (1981), "I’m Afraid Of Americans" (1997), up through 10 songs from Heathen (2002) and Reality (2003) albums.

The lion’s share of songs that Bowie performed on A REALITY TOUR (and chose for release) were drawn from his two most recent albums at the time, 2002’s Heathen ( "Cactus" [written by Black Francis of the Pixies], "Sunday," "Slip Away," "Afraid," and "Heathen [The Rays]"), and 2003’s REALITY ("New Killer Star," "Reality," "The Loneliest Guy," "Never Get Old," and "Bring Me the Disco King," "Fall Dog Bombs The Moon").

In addition to Bowie, musicians on A REALITY TOUR include Gerry Leonard (band leader/guitar/vocals), Sterling Campbell (drums/vocals), Earl Slick (guitar), Gail Ann Dorsey (bass guitar/vocals), Catherine Russell (keyboards/vocals/percussion/guitar), and Mike Garson (keyboards). "

Speaking of Gail Ann Dorsey...I saw her perform with Bowie. Her vocal prowess on Under Pressure was breathtaking. (She sang Freddie Mercury's parts.) I love her look, her bald head and her voice is spectacular.

My favorite David Bowie album is Young Americans, and Fascination (written by Bowie and Luther Vandross) is, I think, my favorite song. That entire album hasn't aged one day since it was released in 1974.

Check this video out, from the old Dick Cavett Show. If you'll notice, the late, great Luther Vandross is singing backup. Awesome find, if I do say so.

I'm certainly taking the stroll down memory lane lately. Oh well...Bowie. Is. TIMELESS.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor hits Macy's Passport Red Carpet

 Dame Elizabeth and her jewels!

One big sandwich of Pretty.
AnnaLynne McCord, from 90201,
with her gorgeous sisters, Angel and Rachel,
who all attended the Macy's Passport Gala.

I love that Dame Elizabeth Taylor made a glorious appearance at the Macy's Passport Red Carpet Event. She's looking great, and made a lovely statement:

"As my beloved friend Michael (Jackson) said, 'We are the world.' And it is up to us to take care of those who are sick and dying, in this country and particularly in Africa."

So good to see her out and about...and those McCord girls? GORGEOUS.
